For corporate clients such as media, production, advertising agencies, and travel agencies
Minato Mirai Heliport takes advantage of its convenient location in the city to offer a variety of helicopter services in addition to sightseeing cruises, including media coverage, heliport location shoots, aerial photography, and personnel transport.
Cruise reporting and heliport location shooting
Heliport waiting room. The windows are covered with mirror film to block out views from the outside, and are used as a rest area and dressing room for performers.
If you shoot on a weekend with a flight scheduled in advance, you can reduce the cost of transporting the helicopter, making it possible to shoot at a low cost.We can also flexibly respond to changes in the weather and other factors when shooting.
Until now, there have been restrictions on filming on land when covering cruises, but filming is now possible as long as safety is ensured.
Please note that the heliport is located within a pier managed by Yokohama City, so there are restrictions on the type of photography you can take. The open view makes it suitable for ground photography, but please note that photography that does not require a helicopter will not be permitted.
The heliport is one of the few locations within Yokohama Port where photography is permitted. Depending on the scale and content of the photography, permission and cooperation with Yokohama City may be required, but photography is permitted as long as the conditions are met.
For inquiries regarding interviews or location shoots, please let us know the following points.
・Date and time of shooting, including any backup days
・Exposure media (dramas, commercials, promotional videos, stills, etc.)
・Shooting content (ground and in-flight shooting of the performers and helicopter, etc.)
- Whether cranes, camera rails, etc. will be used, and the number of vehicles on standby, such as location buses
*If the scale of ground filming is large, instructions from Yokohama City will be required out of consideration for the surrounding area.
When scouting locations, we will ask for details and discuss costs and filming permission conditions.
Aerial photography
For still photography, movie shooting, and other shoots within Kanagawa Prefecture, based in Yokohama, there are no transportation costs from the operating base on weekends when cruises are held, and nighttime aerial photography is also possible.
On weekdays, the shoot is possible between 9:00 and 16:00, and although there will be a transportation fee from the operating base, it is possible depending on the date. If you are looking to keep your budget low, we recommend shooting on the weekend.
The doors will be removed during the flight. Please wear safety harnesses to prevent falls, and there may be restrictions on the equipment you can bring on board.
Personnel transport and charter flights
For resort areas where travel by car or train is inconvenient, or for those who want to travel quickly without getting caught in traffic jams, and still want privacy...helicopters offer outstanding mobility for such people.
For example, it takes about 25 to 30 minutes to travel from Minato Mirai to the scenic spots of Hakone.
In addition, charter flights are longer than regular cruises and are available for 30 minutes from Minato Mirai Heliport, allowing you to create a custom flight that takes you to your home, workplace, or downtown Tokyo.

[Reference] Why twin-engine aircraft are often used for transporting passengers

Red (twin-engine aircraft) Blue (single-engine aircraft): When traveling east to west, Hakone and Gotemba are often difficult spots due to the weather. The weather is changeable in the inland mountainous areas from Nagoya to Shizuoka, so aircraft generally fly along the coastline.
